She started her dressmaking career through the recommendations of her initial employer, a General’s wife and their two daughters.
She had tried waitressing for a singular wedding.

She wrote about her first interaction with the telephone, and electricity.
She went into full extent regarding the individual jobs she had completed for many upper-class ladies.
Both the First World War and Second World War are mentioned, with the latter mostly halting her work as she had to look after elderly relatives.

She enjoyed the various environments she was exposed to, whilst travelling to fulfil her job.

This is a typed autobiography, with a few handwritten annotations, consisting of a total of 31 pages.
