AdminHistoryThis file contains 1 item relating to Mangaia in the Cook Islands. It was found in the New Zealand file, but had been marked "South Pacific" by the BFSS Secretary. The first missionaries arrived in Mangaia from England in 1821. The Cook Islands became a British protectorate in 1888, and were annexed by New Zealand in 1901.
