TitleChild Protection in Sport Unit Research Task Force
DescriptionThe Child Protection in Sport Task Force was established in October 1999, following a seminar held by the NSPCC in June 1999. The Task Force was chaired by Sport England and included senior representatives of the NSPCC, the NCF, Local Government Associations and the Association of Police Officers. An Action Plan was developed which included the establishment of the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) to coordinate and support the work. The Child Protection in Sport Research Task Force was established to undertake and research best practice, prevalence and risk factors in child protection and abuse in sport. It first met in June 2001. From c 2010 its name changed to CPSU Research and Evidence Advisory Group (REAG). NSPCC / Sport England
